​​Jon and Dean Crooke are the 3rd and 4th generation of Australia’s first-family of auto racing...dating back to 1906.

 

Together they have more than a century in motorsports including National Championships in F2 and Karting, plus design, engineering and fabrication of all manner of race cars….leading to their development of the Hyper Racer X1.

 

After years of design, engineering, development, and testing the X1 factory has kicked out over 50 HyperRacers and counting, fueling a spec series in Australia...with another one coming in the United States.

Peter led an Australian initiative which introduced the motor racing safety standards that we enjoy today, ie; modern helmet design, seat belts, fireproof suits etc. The FIA adopted these standards.

James built the world's first race purpose built racing car track inside his pear shaped horse racing track at Aspendale Park. The new track was acknowledged as the world’s first commercial track.

JAMES CROOKE WINS AUSTRALIA'S FIRST MOTOR RACE

James Robert Crooke staged, and then won, Australia's first motor race on March 12, 1904 on the horse racing track at Sandown Park in Melbourne. Three weeks later he won the second race in Australia at the Maribyrnong horse racing track.
